Mic & Trish Williams

Mic and Trish Williams | Micro Import Service

Mic Williams, originally from upstate New York, founded Micro Import Service in Tucson, Arizona in 1976.

Mic’s interest in the automotive world is expressed far beyond his company. He is a former stock car racer.  Mic has also spent his Saturday nights at Tucson Dragway running his purple colored alcohol-altered dragster down the strip at a mere 202 mph in 6.62 seconds!  Mic volunteered his time running the Junior Dragster program for kids age 8-17 at the local dragstrip.  If it has to do with racing, Mic’s going to find a way to be a part of it.

However, Mic’s need for speed remains unquenched as he has plans to break a land speed record on the world famous Bonneville Salt Flats in the near future.

Trish Williams moved to Tucson in 2002 from a small country town in Upstate New York.  The sunshine, friendly people, dryer climate and the beautiful Monsoon season has been some of the determining factors on making Tucson her home.

While busy with family and work, Trish realizes the importance of giving back to the community.  She has been a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for five years now.  A CASA advocates for the best interests of abused & neglected children who are involved in the juvenile courts.  CASA’s are community-based volunteers, certified by the Supreme Court, who provide quality advocacy to help assure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.  Trish has also volunteered her time to Junior Achievement; the Junior Achievement programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace.

Trish was introduced to the wonderful world of drag racing in August 2010 by her husband, Mic Williams.  Since then, she has become a licensed drag racer, proud owner of the ‘Star Cruiser’ (rear-engine 250” long dragster) and has been competing in Divisional and Team Races through the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) and IHRA (International Hot Rod Association).  Trish has reached speeds of 198 mph in 6.84 seconds and has a goal to be in the 200 mph club.

Mic & Trish are a Christian owned business.

Alan VanAvery | Micro Import Service

Manager/Senior Service Advisor

Hello everyone, my name is Alan.  Prior to this adventure into the auto repair industry I was (and still am) a nurse.  I feel that I am still working in healthcare, just vehicle health now.  I recently moved to Tucson from upstate NY with my wife Diana and our two wonderful children Stella and Nina.  Prior to healthcare I served our country in the US Army for six years.  I am very happy to be here at Micro Import Service; I believe very strongly in the principles that Mic has built this great company around and I promise that I will work hard to preserve that legacy.  So please stop on by, even if it is just because you are in the neighborhood and would like a coffee for the road.
