Mic Williams

Mic Williams

Owner

Mic Williams, originally from upstate New York, founded Micro Import Service in Tucson, Arizona in 1976.

His interest in the automotive world is expressed far beyond his company. He is a former stock car racer. He has also spent his Saturday nights at SIR Dragway running his purple colored alcohol-altered dragster down the strip at a mere 170 miles per hour.

However, Mic’s need for speed remains unquenched as he has plans to break a land speed record on the world famous Bonneville Salt Flats.

Trish Scunziano

General Manager

Trish moved to Tucson in 2002 from a small country town in Upstate New York.  The sunshine, friendly people, dryer climate and the beautiful Monsoon season has been some of the determining factors on making Tucson her home.

In today’s time, the need for Social Media is growing rapidly.  So although the ‘tools’ Trish has brought to Micro Import may not be ones that fix a car, her Marketing, Customer Service and Social Media tools are helping Micro Import to expand and reach our customers’ and potential customers’ through means such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Yelp to mention a few.  Trish also understands the importance of Networking, and is a proud member of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners).

While busy with family and work, Trish realizes the importance of giving back to the community.  She has been a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for two years now.  A CASA advocates for the best interests of abused & neglected children who are involved in the juvenile courts.  CASA’s are community-based volunteers, certified by the Supreme Court, who provide quality advocacy to help assure each child a safe, permanent, nurturing home.  Trish also volunteers her time to Junior Achievement; the Junior Achievement programs help prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace.  Junior Achievement’s unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver the curriculum while sharing their experiences with students.

Trish was introduced to the wonderful world of drag racing last August 2010 by Mic Williams.  Since then, she has become a licensed drag racer, proud owner of the ‘Star Cruiser’ and has been competing in Divisional and Team Races through the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) and IHRA (International Hot Rod Association).  If there is a race at the SIR Drag Strip in Tucson, you can pretty much count on Trish & Mic being there.
